Noelene and Peter are New Zealand born, and have lived in many parts of the country and the world before arriving in the Nelson-Tasman district to take up home hosting of visitors.
Noelene has a professional background in the health and re-insurance industries, while Peter spent 20 years in the Royal New Zealand Navy.
Both have a deep interest in good food and wine. Their love of cooking has produced many fabulous meals, drawing on home grown herbs, fruit and vegetables fresh from their garden.
A keen interest and knowledge of gardening, plants and flower arranging (including both ikebana and Western) by Noelene is complimented by Peter's broad knowledge of New Zealand birds, animals and plants.
On his retirement in 1994 Peter was awarded an OBE by HM the Queen for service to the personnel and organisation of the New Zealand Defence Force.
They are both known widely for their warm hospitality, fun and friendship, making Larchwood House the place to stay.
